Lymphatic Renewal offers a Lymphedema Prevention Program using SOZO's L-Dex Scan by ImpediMed.
The L-Dex score is determined using a sophisticated technology called bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS), which is capable of detecting fluid changes as small as 2.4 tablespoons in a limb. It measures the ratio of fluid accumulation in an arm or leg that is at risk for lymphedema and compares it to the healthy limb.
Your lymphatic therapist uses your L-Dex (symbol) score to help determine whether you have early lymphedema. If they find early lymphedema, they will provide you with a personal treatment plan. By finding and treating lymphedema early, before you notice swelling, your lymphatic therapist can help you avoid chronic lymphedema.
